Privacy Policy
Riplox TT · Last updated: 1 September 2026
Riplox TT is a video downloader for Android published by XniperBuilds. Almost everything in the app happens on your own device. This policy explains what stays local, what uses the internet, and the ads the app shows.
The short version: No account and no personal information. Your downloads and history stay on your device. The app goes online only to look up the video link you gave it, to download that video, to keep its download engine current, and to load ads. Since version 1.1.5 the link you paste or share is sent to an XniperBuilds lookup service, which keeps and logs nothing — see "Network use" below. Because the app is free and shows ads, Google AdMob uses a device advertising ID — see "Advertising" below.
Data we collect
We do not collect any personal or identifying information. There is no XniperBuilds account to create and no sign-up of any kind. We do not gather your real name, email, phone number, contacts, location or usage analytics, and we keep no records of what you download — our lookup service (below) writes no logs and keeps no record of who asked. The only device data involved is the advertising identifier, used solely by our ads provider (Google AdMob) to show ads — see "Advertising" below.
Data stored on your device
To work, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on your phone only:
- Download history — the title, link and saved-file location of videos you download, so you can replay or re-download them. It never leaves your device, and you can delete any entry (or clear it) at any time.
- Preferences — your chosen video quality and audio (MP3) setting.
- Downloaded files — saved to your device's gallery (Movies / Music / Pictures). These are your files.
- Your TikTok session, only if you use "Connect TikTok" — an optional login for private, region-locked or age-restricted videos. Public videos need no login at all. You sign in on TikTok's own page inside the app, so your password is never seen, handled or stored by us. The resulting session stays in the app's private storage on your phone, is excluded from cloud backup and device transfer, is never sent to us or to our lookup service, and is removed when you log out.
Network use
The app connects to the internet only to (1) look up the link you paste or share, (2) fetch the video itself from TikTok, (3) keep its open-source download engine up to date so links keep working, and (4) load ads. No other network calls are made.
The lookup service. From version 1.1.5, step (1) runs on an XniperBuilds service rather than on your phone, because TikTok will only hand the clean, watermark-free video to a request the phone itself cannot make. What is sent is the TikTok link you gave the app — nothing else, no identifier, and nothing from your history. The service reads that public post and returns the video's title, cover and download addresses. It logs nothing and keeps no record of who asked: the link arrives, the answer leaves. The answer for a public post is cached for up to an hour, so the same video shared by ten people costs one lookup rather than ten — that cache is keyed on the TikTok post itself, never on you, and holds only the public details the post already shows. Your network address is visible to the service for the moment the request takes, and is used only to stop one device flooding it; it is not recorded. The video itself is then downloaded by your phone, directly from TikTok. If the service cannot be reached, the app falls back to looking the link up on your phone.
Advertising
Riplox TT is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob collects and uses a device advertising ID and limited device information to show ads and measure their performance. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Learn more in Google's advertising policies.
Permissions
- Internet / network state — to download the video you request and to load ads.
- Notifications — to show download progress.
- Storage (Android 9 and below only) — to save files to your gallery.
Third parties
The app uses one third-party service: Google AdMob, which serves the ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes advertising data. We do not sell your data to any data broker.
Children
Riplox TT is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
