Reels, straight to your gallery
An Instagram reels downloader for Android that works from the share sheet.
Open the reel, tap Share, choose Riplox IG. That is the whole thing. The video is saved to your gallery, next to your camera roll, so it appears in Photos and can be sent on straight away — no copying a link, no leaving the app for a website, and nothing to dig out of a Downloads folder afterwards.
It handles reels, video posts, the video slides in a carousel, and stories. Audio can be pulled out as MP3 into your music folder. Photo posts are saved too — those go to your pictures folder, and that one needs a connected Instagram account, because Instagram will not hand a photo to anyone who is not signed in.
When a reel refuses to download, it is usually not the reel
This is the single most confusing thing about saving from Instagram, and almost nobody explains it. A reel that plays perfectly while you scroll can still refuse to download — and the reason is normally your account, not the post. Instagram applies a sensitive-content setting per account, and when a reel falls under it, the app is handed a refusal instead of the video. The same reel on a different account downloads immediately.
So when Riplox IG cannot fetch something, it says which of these actually happened — an account limit, an expired sign-in, a post that is private, or one that is gone — rather than showing one vague failure and letting you assume the app is broken. Knowing which it is, is usually the difference between a two-second fix and an hour wasted.
Signing in is optional, and stays on your phone
Public reels need no sign-in at all. Signing in only matters for things only your account can see, and when you do, the session stays on your phone. It is never uploaded, never shared, and you can clear it whenever you like.
On a PC instead?

Questions people ask first
A reel plays fine but will not download. Why?
Nine times out of ten it is your account's sensitive-content setting rather than anything about the post. Instagram applies that setting per account and hands back a refusal instead of the video. The same reel usually downloads without trouble from a different account. Riplox IG tells you when this is what happened instead of showing a generic error.
Do I have to sign in?
Not for public reels. Signing in only matters for things that only your own account can see. When you do sign in, the session stays on your phone — it is never uploaded or shared, and you can clear it at any time.
Where do saved reels go?
Into your gallery, beside your camera roll, so they show up in Photos and can be shared onward immediately. MP3 audio goes to your music folder.
Can it save photo posts?
Yes. Photos, and the picture slides inside a mixed carousel, are saved to your pictures folder alongside the videos. That one does need a connected Instagram account — Instagram will not hand a photo to anyone who is not signed in.
Can it download private accounts or stories I cannot see?
No. It can only reach what your own signed-in account can already open. Anything beyond that is refused, and it says so plainly.
Is it free?
