Privacy Policy

Riplox IG is an Instagram video downloader for Android published by XniperBuilds. Almost everything in the app happens on your own device. This policy explains what stays local, what uses the internet, how the optional "Connect Instagram" feature works, and the ads the app shows.

The short version: We have no account system and collect no personal information about you. Your downloads and history stay on your device. If you choose to connect your Instagram account, your login is saved only on your phone — we never see your password and it is never sent to any server of ours. The app connects to the internet only to fetch the content you ask for, keep its download engine current, and load ads. Because the app is free and shows ads, Google AdMob uses a device advertising ID — see "Advertising" below.

Data we collect

We do not collect any personal or identifying information ourselves. There is no sign-up or account with XniperBuilds. We do not gather your real name, email, phone number, contacts, location or usage analytics, and we have no servers that receive your data. The only device data involved is the advertising identifier, used solely by our ads provider (Google AdMob) to show ads — see "Advertising" below.

Connecting your Instagram account (optional)

Instagram requires you to be logged in to download many posts, stories and reels. If you tap Connect Instagram, you log in through Instagram's own web page shown inside the app. After you log in, the app saves your Instagram session (login cookies) so it can fetch the content you ask for. About this login:

  • It is stored only in the app's private storage on your device — it is never uploaded to us or to any third party, and we operate no server that could receive it.
  • It is excluded from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so it does not leave your phone.
  • We never see or store your Instagram password — you type it only on Instagram's own page.
  • It is used solely to download the Instagram content you request.
  • You can refresh or replace it any time with Re-login. Changing your Instagram password, or logging out of all sessions in Instagram, will invalidate the saved login.

Data stored on your device

To work, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on your phone only:

  • Download history — the title, link and saved-file location of items you download, so you can replay or re-download them. It never leaves your device, and you can delete any entry (or clear it) at any time.
  • Instagram login — the session cookies from "Connect Instagram", if you use that feature (see above).
  • Preferences — your chosen video quality and audio (MP3) setting.
  • Downloaded files — saved to your device's gallery (Movies / Music). These are your files.

Network use

The app connects to the internet only to (1) fetch the reel, video, carousel or story you asked it to download from Instagram, (2) keep its open-source download engine up to date so links keep working, and (3) load ads. No other network calls are made, and no information about you is sent to us.

Advertising

Riplox IG is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob collects and uses a device advertising ID and limited device information to show ads and measure their performance. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Learn more in Google's advertising policies.

Permissions

  • Internet / network state — to download the content you request and to load ads.
  • Notifications — to show download progress.
  • Foreground service — to keep a download running reliably until it finishes.
  • Storage (Android 9 and below only) — to save files to your gallery.

Third parties

The app uses one third-party advertising service: Google AdMob, which serves the ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes advertising data. When you connect your account, the app communicates directly with Instagram on your behalf, using the login you provided — governed by Instagram's own Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to any data broker.

Children

Riplox IG is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
