JFF Stylish Name is a name, font and symbol generator published by XniperBuilds. Almost everything in the app runs on your own device. This policy explains the parts that use the internet.
The short version: No account and no personal information. Generating names, applying styles, copying symbols and saving favourites all happen on your device. What leaves your phone: anonymous vote counts (for the Trending list) and — because the app shows ads — a device advertising ID used by Google AdMob.
Data we collect
We do not collect any personal or identifying information ourselves. There is no sign-up or login. We do not gather your real name, email, phone number, contacts, location or usage analytics. The only device data involved is the advertising identifier, used solely by our ads provider (Google AdMob) to show ads — see "Advertising" below.
Community voting & Trending
The app has an optional Trending tab. When you tap the ▲ vote button on a name, style or symbol, that text and an anonymous counter are sent to our database (Google Firebase) so popular entries can appear in the public Trending list. Votes are not linked to your identity — "one vote per item" is remembered locally on your device, not on our server. Names that reach Trending are visible to everyone who uses the app.
Content & reporting
Trending content is influenced by users, so we moderate it: the app automatically filters obvious profanity, and every Trending item has a Report (⚑) button. Reported items are hidden immediately for you and are automatically removed from Trending once enough reports are received. Please report anything inappropriate.
Permissions
- Internet — used only to load the Trending list and submit anonymous votes. This is the only permission the app requests.
Advertising
JFF Stylish Name shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob collects and uses a device advertising ID and limited device information to show ads and measure their performance. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Learn more in Google's advertising policies.
Third parties
The app uses two Google services: Firebase Realtime Database stores the anonymous Trending vote counts on our behalf, and AdMob serves the ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data. We do not sell your data to any data broker.
Children
JFF Stylish Name is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
