Privacy Policy

JFF Crosshair Pro is a customisable on-screen crosshair overlay with aim-training tools, published by XniperBuilds. Everything the app does runs on your own device, and it is paid for by ads. This policy explains exactly what it stores and what leaves your phone.

The short version: No account, no sign-up, no personal information, and no analytics. Your crosshair settings, saved profiles and best scores are stored only on your device and never reach us. The app is free because it shows ads, which are served by Google AdMob — the one part of the app that talks to a third party.

Data we collect

We collect nothing ourselves. There is no login, no registration and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, location or usage analytics, and we have no server that receives your data.

The one exception is the ads: Google AdMob, which serves them, uses your device's advertising ID. That is described under Advertising below.

What the app stores on your device

  • Your current crosshair (shape, size, colour, position and other settings).
  • Crosshair profiles you save yourself.
  • Best scores from the aim trainer, reaction test and tap-speed test.
  • Your auto-start choices — which games you asked the app to watch for.

All of this lives in the app's private storage and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Permissions

  • Display over other apps — required to draw the crosshair on top of your game. The overlay is drawing only: it never receives your taps and never interacts with the game.
  • Usage access (optional) — only if you turn on Auto-start with game. The app checks which app is currently in the foreground so it can show the crosshair when your chosen game opens and hide it when you leave. This check happens entirely on the device, is limited to the games you selected, and is never stored or transmitted. Turn the feature off, or revoke the permission in Android Settings, and the check stops.
  • Notifications — the ongoing notification that shows the crosshair is active and lets you hide or stop it.
  • Vibration (optional) — the short buzz on a hit in the aim trainer. Can be switched off in More → Settings.
  • Internet — used by the Ping Checker and to load ads. Nothing else in the app goes online.

Ping Checker

The Ping Checker measures how long it takes to open a connection to well-known public addresses (Google DNS 8.8.8.8, Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 and google.com). It sends no data about you — it only times the connection and shows the result on screen. Results are not stored or transmitted.

Sharing a crosshair code

When you tap Share, the app creates a short code that describes the crosshair itself (shape, size, colour, position). It contains no personal information and no device identifiers. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to share the code yourself, using the app you pick.

Advertising

JFF Crosshair Pro is free and is funded by ads served through Google AdMob. You will see:

  • a banner at the bottom of the app's own screens;
  • one full-screen ad when you open the app;
  • a full-screen ad when you switch the crosshair off from inside the app;
  • a full-screen ad after every second aim-trainer round.

Ads appear only inside the app. Nothing is ever shown over your game — the overlay itself carries no ads, and switching the crosshair off from the Quick Settings tile, the icon shortcut or the notification never triggers one.

To serve those ads, Google AdMob uses your device's resettable advertising ID, along with technical information such as your device type, IP address and rough region, and it may use that to personalise ads. This is handled by Google, not by us — we never see it, and it is not linked to any identity, because the app has no accounts. Google's use of the data is covered by the Google Privacy & Terms.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, which also lets you turn off ad personalisation. The app keeps working either way — you will simply see less relevant ads.

Third parties

Google AdMob is the only third-party service in the app. There is no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no third-party account system. We do not sell or share your data with data brokers, because we do not collect any.

Children

JFF Crosshair Pro is a general-purpose gaming utility and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
