Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Clutch is an honest, on-device game optimizer for Android, published by XniperBuilds. Privacy is built into how it works, so this policy is short and plain.
The short version: Clutch does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device — including the local VPN, which blocks background apps only and never routes, inspects, logs or uploads your traffic.
Data we collect
None. Clutch has no sign-up, no login and no cloud. We do not gather your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising ID, usage analytics or crash data. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.
The local VPN (bandwidth firewall)
Clutch's most important feature uses Android's VpnService to reserve your bandwidth for your game. It is critical to understand what this does — and does not — do:
- The VPN runs 100% on your device. There is no remote server, proxy or endpoint of any kind.
- It is used only to block the internet access of the background apps you choose, during a game session you start.
- It never routes, tunnels, proxies, inspects, decrypts, logs, stores or uploads your network traffic. No browsing history, no packets, no addresses leave your phone.
- It is fully user-controlled — you turn Turbo on and off, and you pick which apps are blocked.
This is a permitted "app network restriction" use of VpnService, not a data-collection or content-filtering VPN.
Your content and settings
Your preferences — the apps you choose to block, your toggles and your device report — are stored only on your own device. This information never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or to any third party.
Permissions
- VPN (BIND_VPN_SERVICE) — powers the local bandwidth firewall described above. Local-only; no traffic is routed or uploaded.
- Display over other apps — draws the floating stats panel and gesture-lock layer over your game. Nothing is captured or recorded.
- Usage access — lets Clutch detect which game is in the foreground and list installed apps so you can choose what to block. Read on-device only; never transmitted.
- Notifications & Do Not Disturb — used to run the foreground game session and to silence interruptions during a match. Managed by Android on your device.
- Foreground service — keeps your game session (firewall + focus) alive while you play; started and stopped by you.
Your game files stay untouched
Clutch works entirely from outside your games. It does not read, modify, inject into or interact with Free Fire or any other game's files, memory or account. This is by design — working only from the outside keeps your account safe.
Third parties
Clutch contains no advertising SDKs, no tracking libraries and no third-party analytics. It is a one-time paid app with no ads.
Children
Clutch is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
